"Commit your works unto the Lord, and your plans will be established."  Proverbs 16:3

Mission:  To "build creative confidence & bring out the artist" within each child & adult.  To encourage & nurture creativity in a supportive environment.

Working with children & teaching them art has been a part of Carrie Stevens's life since 1981.  She has a Bachelor's degree in Interior Design & Art and is certified to teach all levels of art. Carrie has taught in the public & private schools as well as small groups & private lessons.  Classes for children include drawing, painting (acrylic & watercolor), printmaking & pottery.  Carrie teaches painting, calligraphy & pottery to adults. Painting parties are available for children & adults---she will bring the party to you with a minimum of 10 people or private painting parties are available at her studio.

Art has been a passion of hers since she was a child.  Carrie's second grade teacher, Helen Edwards, brought out the artistic talent in her.  Since that early age, Carrie has always enjoyed creating art.  She especially enjoys working with clay, printmaking, painting & welding sculptures.

She believes that all children & adults should have an exposure to art & believes that art opens the doors to creativity while it enhances all areas of your life.  Art can be enjoyed by people of all ages & a person is never too old to learn!  Carrie loves "bringing out the artist" within each person.

Carrie has a Masters degree in Counseling but she left her position as a Counselor in Irving ISD to launch her business fulltime,  Artworks Texas, in the fall of 2012.  She is thankful to God for all her blessings and is having a blast teaching & creating art!
